deframer

Get started

Log in once on each computer. The CLI stays logged in until you log out or revoke it.

  1. Run deframer login

    deframer login

The terminal prints a code, such as ABCD-EFGH, and opens your browser.

  2. Sign in with Google

Use the Google account you want the CLI to use. Skip this if you are already signed in.

  3. Check the code and approve

The page shows the same code as your terminal. If it matches, choose Approve login. The terminal prints Logged in as and your email.

Only approve a code you just requested yourself. Anyone with an approved login can use your plan.

No browser on this computer

Print the link instead of opening it, then open it on any device:

deframer login --no-browser

See who is logged in

deframer whoami

This shows the account and whether it can use deframer right now.

Log out

deframer logout

This removes the login from this computer and ends it on the server. To log out a computer you no longer have, revoke it under Devices on your account page. Its next command is refused.

Where the login is kept

In your system keychain. On Linux without a keychain, in ~/.config/deframer/credentials.json, readable only by you. If the DEFRAMER_TOKEN environment variable is set, it is used instead of the saved login.
